��������’s state-of-the-art Research Center is always endeavouring to develop new and improved methods and technologies in order to create more durable concrete structures around the world. Currently, �������� boasts the largest dedicated research center focusing on concrete permeability in North America.

��������’s Research Center has been particularly busy during 2016. From the development of new systems for concrete jointing to improving the current product line, many new developments to how concrete structures are built have come out of the Research Center.

Specifically for , �������� has added to the product line with ��������ite Swelling Waterstop and a Crack Inducer. The Krystol Waterstop system is the complete construction joint solution, ensuring that the most vulnerable areas of a concrete structure remain watertight, even under hydrostatic water pressure.

��������’s Research Center is not only working on the effectiveness of the products but also the methods with which the products are installed on-site. In order to ensure ��������’s products and systems work, the installation process must be simple and efficient. This is evidenced within the and the addition of the new Krystol Repair Grout. The addition of this new product allowed contractors to repair leaks in a simple 3-step process.

These are just two if the new improvements �������� has come out with in the last year. As the Research Centre is continually working, communicating changes to the industry globally is vital. In late October, ��������’s Research & Development Manager, Alireza Biparva, M.Sc was in the Middle East with ��������’s Middle East Regional Manager, Fadi Farhat providing seminars focusing on the �������� product line. One of the stops for the team was in Jordan where Biparva presented on Crystalline Waterproofing to a room full of construction decision-makers at the) Symposium.

CTC is ��������’s master distributor for the Jordanian construction market and hosted the event with all the decision-makers for a particular project. Jordan sits near the Dead Sea and one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water. Building near the Dead Sea creates a corrosive environment for concrete that can be disastrous for a project unless properly prepared for. CTC gathered everyone to learn about how to combat the issues using �������� products and also go through training on proper installation procedures
