The Thiako variety is a new monovarietal olive oil which is indigenous to the Ionian Islands. Dr Kavvadia is a family run business that has been passed down the generations. The Dr Kavvadia Olive Oil range all come in a beautiful apothecary style brown bottle inferring from this style is the therapeutic properties of the oil itself.

Dr. Kavvadia is an organic extra-virgin olive oil of medium intensity. It balances fruitiness, bitterness and pungency very well. The current team ensures Dr Kavvadia’s original vision of a salubrious olive oil product with a great taste has been realised and continued with care. Dr. Kavvadia’s olive trees are now organically certified and cultivated in the most natural way, allowing the ecosystem of the grove to work with the farmer, delivering a handmade, award winning olive oil of unmatched quality. The farming process treats the olive trees with care and respect; Dr Kavvadia’s farming techniques – which were considered innovative for his time – are now considered to be a blend of permaculture and sustainable farming. The olives are procured from a special local variety olive grove called Lianelia.
